Local farmers and together to deliver healthy food despite COVID-19
We have banded together three other local farmers to make sure local residents can eat healthily despite disruptions caused by the novel coronavirus.
Starting Friday March 20, Enright Cattle Company and Drain Poultry Farm in Tweed, Battersea’s Patchwork Gardens and Kendall Hills Farm in Orno will be delivering their products to homes in the area bounded by Belleville, Kingston and Tweed. Deliveries will take place on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Customers can order the Farmer’s box that include fresh beef, vegetables, dehydrated mushrooms and eggs and pay with a credit card or e-transfer.
To preserve social distancing, they will be asked to place a cooler at the front door. The delivery person will put their order into the cooler, knock or ring the bell to tell them now their food has arrived, and leave without face-to-face contact.
