Day of the Pig

They call it Day of the Pig -- but beef plays its part.

It’s the brainchild of Michael McKenzie, the creative force behind Seed to Sausage, producer of fantastic artisan sausages and so much more. Held at the Seed to Sausage store in Sharbot Lake, it’s a chance for food enthusiasts to check out the latest trends from top local food producers and experience the skills of great chefs from Atomica, Le Chien Noir and other interesting local restaurants.

Visitors to our display could purchase a bacon beef burger featuring Enright beef and intensely flavourful Seed to Sausage bacon cooked right on the spot. We sold burgers continuously all day. Talk about a success -- we only stopped finally because we’d used up every hamburger bun in Sharbot Lake!
